519 Pursuit - Sock Pledge!
It’s that time of year!
519 Pursuit, our local outreach organization that meets those facing houslessness where they are at, asks us at this time of year to critically donate Socks.
We are in those colder months when those with inadequate access to shelter are facing the elements, and their Socks are too.
Wet feet for those without shelter can mean painful blistering, skin damage, and/or trench foot.
“A new pair of dry socks is more than a donation. It’s care, dignity, and prevention.” 519 Pursuit
Those of us taking the pledge are aiming to raise at least 519 pairs of NEW socks by November 15th, and with all of our help, the greater goal is to reach 1,000,000 socks donated since they launched the Sock Pledge in 2018!
If you would like to donate socks, you can pop by Sutton Group-Select Realty at 250 Wharncliffe Rd N and ask our incredible receptionists where to find the box, which shouldn’t be too hard to miss!
Thank you for your generosity and compassion this season for our neighbours.
“Without you there is no 519 Pursuit!”
